The lessons set forth are tailored to the BEGINNER guitar player with little or no experience.

Strategy:

I.  Understand certain guidelines, conventions, and facts about learning and playing the guitar

II.  Start off with an appropriate set of beginner chords, scales, and playing techniques

III.  Use these chords, etc. to develop basic strumming, chord changing, and picking techniques

IV. Learn a few popular simple tunes to use as vehicles to further your strumming, changing and picking

V.  Play along with music on CD or tape or another musician to develop timing and sound control

VI.  Delve into the theory of it all and start to understand why and when we play the notes and chords we play
